Completing 4 Long years after BE we all decided to go for a trip. I initiated the process by sending a mail .There were lots of mails bombarding on mail box to select the place. Some wanted hill stations, some 
are interested in places where we can get into the water and shri demanded for one day trip.
As I am getting biscuits everywhere in life …. I thought this plan also will go for a toss. Some fights about selecting the places supported my thought. But finally the D day arrived and all were ready for the mission.
We decided that we will leave Bangalore on 18th July 2008, visit Beluru , Halebidu , shravanabelagola and come back on 19th July 2008.
I left office around 8.30 pm after finishing workout at GYM (believe me I will go to GYM daily J).
I was supposed to go to Jayanagar 4th Block so I tried to hire an auto …but no autowala was ready to come. So walked till corporation circle and got an
auto with a condition “meter mele 10 rupee extra” and went to 4th block .
Shri was already there and Ramya joined us later. We went to a hotel and had curd rice and fruit salad. We called chandan (he arranged the Qualis) but he was not ready. Meanwhile we decided to do some shopping. Ramya brought a sweater for herself. As I had only one pair of cloth (which I was wearing that time) shri brought me a T-Shirt. Thank you very much shri. Then we brought some snacks. We were waiting for chandan on the road, mean while shri was getting call fro
m her team lead.
Chandan finally arrived around 11pm . we went to Rajaji nagar –chord road where nandish , aravind and raghu were waiting for us. So around 11.30 pm our journey towards the mission has begun .
We hired a Qualis for the trip. On the way we stopped at Dhaba and had some roti and dal. Our plan was to reach hasan first, get fresh there and start towards halebidu. We didn’t get sleep at all as all are excited and songs are playing in full sound.
Around 4.30
am we reached hasan . we booked a room at hotel Kadamba and finished our morning activities. Room was clean and surprisingly we hat hot water to take bath. All were ready by 6.30 am. We had Idly-vada and coffee at hotel and left for Halebidu.
Halebidu is just fabulous. Excellent stone carving work. We were speechless after seeing those sculptures . It’s so fantastic, their imagination is mind blowing. We hired a guide and he explained us about the sculptures nicely. The walls of the temple are covered with an endless variety of depictions from Hindu mythology, animals, birds and Shilabalikas or dancing figures. Yet no two sculptures of the temple are the same. Soap stone was used for the construction of these temples.
We spent some time there , drank tender coconut water . Shri wanted to go for boating so we
checked the lake but it’s too dirty so we dropped the plan. And left to belur.
Belur was the early capital of the Hoysala Empire. The main attraction in Belur is the Chennakesava temple complex which contains the Chennakesava Temple ( dedicated to Lord Chennakeshava , meaning handsome Vishnu) as the centre piece, surrounded by the Kappe Chennigraya temple built by Shantaladevi, queen of king Vishnuvardhana.
Our earlier plan was to visit Shravanabelogola. But none of us interested and we left with plenty of time so we decided to go to mullayanagiri. We had our lunch at Chikkamagalur and left for Mullayanagiri.
The road to Mullayanagiri is little scary but its gr8 experience. Mullayanagiri is a hill station located about 21Km from chikkamagalur. The scenery from the mountain was simply awesome. We took some snaps on the road we reached top of the hill.
GOD!!!!!!!! It’s like a HEVEN. Literally we are on clouds. ALL are ve
ry much pleased about the placed and tanked chandan and Nandish as they decided to go to Mullayanagiri. Shri Was very much excited as she visited such a place for first time.
We trekked a little and went to a temple at the top of the hill. We spent some gud time there by singing and dancing .
While coming back noticed that some movie shooting is going on. AS usual heroin was beautiful and hero was looking dumb. Arvya asked for a chance J . we came down and left to Bangalore .
As all are very tired we slept for some time in the cab . we had tea at hasan and got little charged. Myself , arvya,shri, ramya started singing songs. Raghu was giving background music.
We reached Bangalore around 9.30 and left to our places. It was a great Experience and a Awesome trip. Hope to have such more trips again and again
